origin story
Welcome to November|Eleventh, a space for honest, curious, and cinematic storytelling.
November|Eleventh is a platform rooted in New York that offers in-depth reviews and commentary on film, television, and theatre.
This platform was created out of the belief that stories shape us, and that criticism, analysis, and conversation can be acts of care. Here, you’ll find reviews, essays, watchlists, and features that prioritize careful analysis, meaningful context, and diverse perspectives.
This space is evolving. As November|Eleventh branches into screenwriting and filmmaking, it will grow into a creative hub for original work—including writing excerpts, interviews, short film projects, and behind-the-scenes content. It’s both a lens on the industry and a launchpad for building something new within it.

Meet your author
Samantha Justiniano is the voice behind November|Eleventh, a film, television, and theatre review brand rooted in a deep love for storytelling and a lifelong dream of working in the arts. Originally on a path toward law, Samantha pivoted in her late twenties to pursue acting, appearing in background roles for HBO, Netflix, CBS, STARZ, and Amazon. Though life led her to pause that journey, her passion for performance never faded. Professionally, Samantha has worked in Administration and Human Resources, where she briefly helped lead DEI initiatives among other interesting projects. Along the way, she developed skills in social media strategy and creative content development, always keeping one eye on the world of film and storytelling.
November|Eleventh is the culmination of years of ideas, iterations, and inspiration. Named in honor of her father—a veteran whose birthday week sparked the brand’s name, and her own ritual of making wishes at 11:11, the platform is a space for honest, detail-driven reviews and essays that reflect her deep respect for the craft. Her writing is formal and analytical when it needs to be, but always grounded in a conversational, human voice with room for humor, heart, and nuance. Samantha’s goal is to grow November|Eleventh into a full creative production brand, interviewing artists, collaborating with filmmakers, and eventually producing original work for screen and stage. She hopes to connect with fellow creatives, critics, and brands who share her values and vision. Her personal motto? The worst thing that can happen is someone tells you no, and that’s just the beginning of what’s possible.
